Celebrating 10 years of togetherness – II

2 pm. On a weekday I was sitting inside class room during my 2^nd year of my engineering and yes obviously the class was going on.I heard that racket for which I was waiting for a long time. I expected that machine to bring to a halt in front our class room. But it roared and went in to the opposite direction.  I said to myself”Not againnnn” .And no more build-ups after this…I was talking about my chota blue colored Bajaj Spirit here and in my last blog. She was just not my college bike..(Using the word “Bike” would be little too much though) its our college bike…Someone or the other used to get that bike from me in the morning and I see my machine in the road driven by unknown people who had sub-ocee fied my vehicle. She was moiled and toiled for the sake of our friendship. Be it the triples trip where me, sathya, prathap used to go from anna nagar to their places everyday or the shunting trips from my college to Aarthy restaurant; she had always boosted our energy and had played vital role in our togetherness. There are quite a lot of instances where I still remember.  She’s been with me from the all the bad times to good times.. She’d been a tiny driving force for the crush I had in my college (College machi..sagajamthaaane ) since that girl also had the same bike. She has helped many to attend interviews and get that magical letter which decided their fate. She had never tripped me off in the road but still all the cracks and dents I see in her reminds me of my friends who had decorated her with that. I drove her for about 30 kms every day in the highway for about three years and she’s always been at my best control. She had visited a couple of police stations as well  and had been my logo when someone gave a card to wish my birthday with the bike drawn in the card.

Some might feel that this blog is more of exaggeration. But for me, this is a small tribute for her .

Yesterday I went to my local mechanic with her and told “அண்ணா , light எரிய  மாட்டுது ..அத  மாத்திட்டு  battery புதுசா  போட்டுடுங்க ..அப்டியே  lite a water service பண்ணிடுங்க ”..the mechanic told..”பண்ணிடலாம்  sir.. நீங்க  முதல்ல  இத  தள்ளி  விடுங்க .. நீங்க  சொல்லி  வெச்ச  Yamaha RX ready பண்ணிடலாம் ”..I just smiled at him and asked “Battery வாங்க  எவ்ளோ  ஆகும் ?”
